Wenatchee Valley Street Rods

About Us

The Wenatchee Valley Street Rod Car Club was established in 1975 by three street rod enthusiasts.  In 1978 the club organized its first Apple Run Car Show to raise money to benefit community charities.  We will be hosting our 34th Apple Run Car Show in 2012.

Contributions were made to numerous charities over the years.  In about 1985 an endowment fund was established with the Wenatchee Valley Community Foundation to provide scholarships to students that were planning to attend automotive oriented trade schools.

WVSR became a guild of the Central Washington Hospital Foundation in 2000.  Since then the club has contributed more than $100,000 in support of Central Washington Hospital projects.

Since 2004 our support has gone to fund education grants for CWH employees, providing three $1000 grants annually.  The Community Foundation Scholarship qualifications were also broadened to include students in nursing and medical technician programs.  CWH is currently undergoing a major remodeling project and contributions will be directed toward that endeavor for the next several years.

Other activities include one monthly meeting and at least one monthly social event.  We also actively attend numerous Northwest Car Shows during the summer.
